In 2008 Dr Kerryn Griffiths completed a PhD in coaching/education through the Centre for Learning Innovation at the Queensland University of Technology. Her thesis explains the learning processes underpinning coaching and she has published a series of papers in international academic journals:

Publications:

Also reprinted with permission in The Icfai University Journal of Higher Education

Kerryn now writes and disseminates Coaching Research in Practice, a monthly email newsletter that highlights evidence-based coaching research and provides practical recommendations for coaches to apply research to their coaching practice.

Each issue of Coaching Research in Practice provides an overview of an evidence-based coaching study and its findings, as well as suggested implications/applications for the research findings in your coaching practice.

Most importantly, there's no academic gobbledy-gook and it's never longer than one A4 page. It's doing what research should do: provide practical relevance for practising coaches.
